Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent Austin Beutner has announced that Capri Maddox, Esq. has been appointed senior executive director, partnerships.

Maddox will coordinate partnerships with the philanthropic community, government agencies, sports teams, entertainment leaders and community organizations to enhance the educational experience for students. She will work in collaboration with the nonprofit Southern California Grantmakers organization. The position is funded by the Fund for Excellence and Equity.
“Capri will help bring together people and resources to better support our students and schools,” Beutner said. “This effort will improve and expand existing relationships and build new ones to provide more support for public education in Los Angeles.”
Maddox previously served as special assistant to Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer and director of the city attorney’s Business Support Program. She was also previously president of the Los Angeles Board of Public Works.
“Capri Maddox has been an integral part of our team for many years and has served as my special assistant since the day I took office,” Feuer said. “Her countless relationships, her innovative leadership and her collaborative style are a perfect fit for her new role.”
“As a Los Angeles Unified graduate and a native Angeleno, I am excited for the opportunity to utilize my relationships and experience and work with local government partners to provide much-needed resources to our schools,” Maddox added.
