Re “Five WeHoans object to Stormy Daniels Day,” June 7 issue
I am not a “failed city council candidate with a political agenda.” But after disgraced Mayor John Duran’s tone deaf attack on the courageous WeHoans speaking out against his latest embarrassing mistake, I might just run.
West Hollywood voters are to blame for re-electing Duran after his Grindr trick won a $500,000 sexual harassment settlement, paid by taxpayers. But the decision to celebrate an agreement-breaking porn actor is all Duran’s. It’s not too late to fix the electoral mistake. Enough is enough. We should come together as a community to recall Duran, sending him and his porn buddy back to the gutter where they belong.

You apparently agree with Mayor Duran’s decision to honor Stormy Daniels, an “honorable woman” of very questionable background with a key to the city of West Hollywood, since her actions are damaging to President Trump, and you all hate President Trump.
If I lived in West Hollywood, I would be protesting honoring her, not because I favor President Trump, but because of the failure of my city’s leadership to honor someone worthy of recognition for doing good deeds to help the homeless, tutoring in the schools, donating blood to the Red Cross. I could go on and on for recommending people who deserve such accolades.
Hatred by West Hollywood leaders only diminishes their influence, and increases disrespect for them. Have your citizens written in to support that decision, exceeding “right wing hate mail”? I hope not – I hope you will promote higher standards with your power of the press.
