The series includes Dance Downtown, from 7-11 p.m., featuring a live band or DJ alongside top L.A. dance instructors providing beginner lessons and dancing for a different dance genre at each event. Samba will be the featured genre on June 22.
On alternating Friday nights, DJ Nights, from 9 p.m. to midnight, offers Angelenos the opportunity to dance the night away in Grand Park with music curated by influential artists from Los Angeles. Pierre Davis and Arin Hayes will head the event on June 29.
The Music Center will provide voter registration booths on site at all events in partnership with the Los Angeles County Registrar’s Office, the Women’s March and The League of Women’s Voters.
This is a free event open to all ages. Picnicking is encouraged. Food and beverages will be available for purchase; no outside alcohol is permitted in the park. Parking is available for $5 after 8 p.m. in The Music Center lot under the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Grand Park is located at 200 N. Grand Ave. For information, visit musiccenter.org.
