Investigators in Hollywood are searching for a male suspect who stabbed a man in front of a business on May 12 in the 6600 block of Hollywood Boulevard.

The victim, a man in his 20s, works for an unspecified company located along the boulevard. At approximately 10 a.m., he asked a man believed to be a transient who was sitting in a wheelchair smoking a cigarette in front of the business to move. Security camera footage shows the employee attempted to push the wheelchair away from the front of the business when the pair began arguing. The man in the wheelchair stood up, pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the forearm. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Police released a security camera image of the suspect. The victim was hospitalized and required emergency surgery.

The suspect is black, 30 to 40 years old with a medium build. Security camera footage can be viewed at lapdonline.org.
