The Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks is ensuring children receive nutritious meals as part of its “Summer Lunch Program” at recreation centers and other facilities.
The program runs from Friday, June 1, through Friday, Aug. 10, at more than 100 locations, including the Pan Pacific Park Recreation Center, 7600 Beverly Blvd.; Poinsettia Park Recreation Center, 7341 Willoughby Ave.; Hollywood Recreation Center, 1122 Cole Ave.; Yucca Park Community Center, 6671 Yucca St.; and Lemon Grove Recreation Center, 4959 Lemon Grove Ave., in East Hollywood.
The free meals are available to youth up to 18 years old and students with disabilities regardless of age as long as they are enrolled in a school program. No application or proof of income is needed.
