The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority has announced updates on construction for the Purple Line Extension, which is ongoing along Wilshire Boulevard between Western Avenue and La Cienega Boulevard.

To keep people informed about the project, Metro is holding the next La Cienega and Rodeo subway station update meeting on Wednesday, June 6, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Municipal Gallery at Beverly Hills City Hall, 455 N. Rexford Drive. For information, visit metro.net.

Jet grouting activities will continue through early July on Wilshire Boulevard between La Jolla Avenue and San Vicente Boulevard. The work zone and closure are anticipated to remain in the center lane of Wilshire Boulevard in that area. The work zone currently located on Wilshire Boulevard between Crescent Heights Boulevard and La Jolla Avenue will be removed.

At the eastern end of the project, excavation, instrumentation and utility work is ongoing near Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue. Westbound Wilshire Boulevard will be intermittently reduced to one lane between Western Avenue and Manhattan Place, and northbound Manhattan Place will be closed at Wilshire Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Near Wilshire Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, concrete work, rebar steel deliveries and underground support remains ongoing. Wilshire Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Orange Drive and Detroit Street on Monday/Tuesday, Tuesday/Wednesday and Thursday/Friday nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Excavation and hauling is ongoing near Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, where Ogden Drive will be intermittently closed at Wilshire Boulevard from 7 a.m. 11 p.m., Monday through Friday.
