Los Angeles City Councilmen Mitch O’Farrell (left), 13th District, recently congratulated Paul Herrera (center) for receiving the Youth Leadership Award from the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Herrera, a senior at Vaughn Next Century Learning Center in San Fernando, also received a $2,000 scholarship from O’Farrell’s office. The award was presented on May 16 at the LGBTQ Youth Awards at the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Village at Ed Gould Plaza in Hollywood.
