The Summer Reading Club promotes reading and fun activities throughout the summer, including incentives for reaching reading goals. Children, tweens, teens and adults are all welcome to participate.
All who participate and reach reaching goals will be entered into drawings for books and other great prizes.
Some of the activities throughout the summer are “T ‘n T Thursdays” for tweens (entering fourth grade) and teens (entering grades 6-12), which include “Craft Lab I: Ultimate Origami” on July 19 at 4 p.m.; “Craft Lab II: Duct Tape” on July 26 at 4 p.m.; and “Escape Room” on Aug. 2 at 4 p.m.
Adult Special Reading Club programs include an author program with Patrick Hunt on July 15 at 2 p.m.; and a documentary screening of “And Now Love,” followed by discussion with the director and film’s subject, 96-year-old Bernard Bail on July 26 at 2 p.m.
