The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts will celebrate Debbie Allen and Phylicia Rashad on Monday, May 7, with “A Tale of Two Sisters.”

Allen and Rashad are living legends whose storied careers as performers, creators, arts educators, and mentors have inspired generations of artists and audiences. Their contributions to stage, film and television are immeasurable, as is their leadership in generating opportunities and recognition for children, women and artists of color.

The night will celebrate the pair’s many accomplishments as well as raise funds for The Wallis’ artistic, educational and outreach programs. The event’s honorary co-chairs include Lee Daniels, Shonda Rhimes and Denzel Washington.
