El Rodeo School in Beverly Hills was placed on lockdown for approximately one hour on April 3 after a parent who was dropping off a student reported to administrators at 7:50 a.m. that she saw a suspicious man on the campus. Lt. Elisabeth Albanese, with the Beverly Hills Police Department, said school administrators called police and sheltered the students indoors while officers searched the school. No intruders were found, and the lockdown ended shortly before 9 a.m. “We responded and searched the entire campus and used a police helicopter,” Albanese said. “It’s taken very seriously. We have tactical teams that respond and conduct those searches. We were following protocol for a worst-case scenario, but nothing was found.”
