More than 4,000 people are anticipated to come together in support of critically ill children and their families at the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House/Camp Ronald McDonald “Walk for Kids” on Sunday, April 8 in Exposition Park.

The annual family-friendly 5k walk aims to raise $300,000 for Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House Programs, which support families who must travel to receive medical treatment for their critically ill children. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California helps families stay close to each other and the care and resources they need.

No eligible family is turned away due to inability to pay. Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House is located in Hollywood near Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Registration and activities for the Walk for Kids begins at 7 a.m., with opening ceremonies at 8:15 a.m. and the walk starting at 9 a.m. The event is at 700 Exposition Park Drive. For information and registration, visit walkforkids.org.
