Congressmen Ted Lieu and Adam Schiff are inviting students to submit works for the 2018 Congressional Art Competition.
The nationwide high school arts competition recognizes the artistic talent of young constituents in different congressional districts. The competition is open to all high school students who either reside or attend school in Lieu’s 33rd District and Schiff’s 28th District.
The artworks by the first place winners will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol as part of a larger exhibit and will receive a trip to Washington, D.C. The works by second place winners will be displayed for one year in the congressmen’s Washington, D.C. offices, respectively, and the third place winners works will be displayed in their district offices for one year.
The deadline for submission is Friday, April 6 at 5 p.m. For information on the competition in Lieu’s district, call Aurelia Friedman at (323)651-1040, or email Aurelia.Friedman@mail.house.gov.
