In support of the Police and Community Together initiative, Beverly Hills Police Chief Sandra Spagnoli has announced the formation of a community panel to expand community outreach.

The Chief’s Advisory Panel will serve as a community resource for the chief of police in forming strategies, developing community policing concepts and increasing public awareness. The panel will also provide a forum for discussions on community concerns. The goal is to have a broad spectrum of viewpoints represented.

The panel will be comprised of up to 20 citizens representing a different interests. Members are sought from the business, education, nonprofit, public relations and faith-based fields. The role of the panel members shall include but not be limited to acting as a sounding board for the chief regarding community needs and concerns, as well as providing community feedback on current and proposed police programs and priorities. The panel will also apprise the chief about needs for police services and will assist in educating the community about the function and role of the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Participants must be Beverly Hills residents or business owners, or stakeholders with an active interest in the city. Meetings will be held monthly.
