The city of West Hollywood will commemorate the 20th anniversary of V-Day with the Hollywood NOW production of “The Vagina Monologues” on Saturday, Feb. 17, and Sunday, Feb. 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the West Hollywood City Council Chambers.
Twenty years ago, the play by Eve Ensler gave birth to V-Day, a global activism effort to end violence against women and girls. The production of “The Vagina Monologues” is co-sponsored by the West Hollywood Women’s Advisory Board, Transgender Advisory Board and Lesbian and Gay Advisory Board; California National Organization for Women; Pacific Shore NOW; V-Day; One Billion Rising-Los Angeles and GWEN.
Tickets are $15, and proceeds benefit Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. The West Hollywood City Council Chambers are located at 625 N. San Vicente Blvd. For information and tickets, call (323)596-7389, or visit thevaginamonologuesweho.eventbrite.com.
