Two workers replacing a billboard were hospitalized on Feb. 6 after a pole one of them was using touched nearby electrical utility lines in the 8100 block of West Third Street.

One of the workers, a 30-year-old man, sustained electrical burns to his arms and legs, and was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in serious condition. The other, a 42-year-old man, was in fair condition.

Both men, whom authorities did not identify, are expected to survive.

A third worker was not injured and declined hospitalization, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
