Personnel sold pink Beverly Hills Police Department T-shirts and police patches in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month. In years past, officers and personnel were allowed to wear pink patches and custom pink badges in October in support of breast cancer awareness, but 2017 marked the first time the T-shirts and patches were sold to support research at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Saul & Joyce Brandman Breast Center. Plans call for the department to make it an annual campaign, said Lt. Elisabeth Albanese (left), who joined Beverly Hills Vice Mayor Dr. Julian Gold, Beverly Hills Police Department Chief Sandra Spagnoli and Sgt. Sean Smollen in donating the funds.
