Approximately 80 firefighters quickly extinguished a blaze that started in a medical office on Jan. 21 near the corner of Vermont and Lexington avenues. The fire was contained to a two-story structure on the northeast corner. The cause remains under investigation, according to LAFD spokeswoman Amy Bastman.
The blaze was reported at approximately 11 a.m. Firefighters found smoke on both floors of the building. No people were inside. They located flames in a room on the first floor and extinguished them in 14 minutes. The value of damage and loss was not available.
