The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed on Wednesday that two cases from Beverly Hills police regarding producer Harvey Weinstein and two others regarding filmmaker James Toback are under review.
The Beverly Hills Police Department announced on Oct. 31 that it was investigating complaints against Weinstein and Toback after receiving “multiple complaints” regarding both men, according to news releases issued by the department. They didn’t specify the nature of the complaints, but both men have been publicly accused of sexual harassment by a growing number of women over the past several months.
The DA’s office is also handling three additional cases related to Toback from the Los Angeles Police Department. Greg Risling, a spokesman for the DA’s office, said the Weinstein cases from Beverly Hills police were the only ones related to Weinstein his office is handling.
Beverly Hills police said anyone who wants to report a crime that occurred in Beverly Hills should call (310)288-2656.
