Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles has announced Jeffrey Glassman and Ingrid Graham will join the ALZGLA board of directors.
Glassman brings professional knowledge, nonprofit experience and a passion for public service to the ALZGLA board of directors. For many years, Glassman worked as an attorney in Los Angeles, specializing in estate planning, probate and trusts. He now serves as the CEO for Covington Capital Management.
Glassman has a long history of philanthropy and public service, particularly in support of the L.A. aging community. He served on the board of councilors for the USC School of Gerontology and is a member of the board of directors for the L.A. Jewish Home, most recently serving as chairman. Glassman has experienced Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias within his family, and has been a generous donor to ALZGLA over many years.
Similarly, since the diagnosis of her mother with early onset Alzheimer’s, Graham has been an advocate and fundraiser for ALZGLA, telling the story of her mother’s illness and the family impact. As a professional dancer, model and choreographer, Graham has performed and choreographed for the Edinburgh Music Festival, Merce Cunningham Dance Company, California African American Music and the Brooklyn Academy of Music, among others.
An avid teacher and mentor, Graham councils and coaches for the NAACP’s Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics. She is on the dance faculty of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Hollywood, and developed the “Start Today” program for young dancers that aspire to become professionals.
