Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles area are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a serial burglary suspect responsible for at least seven residential and auto burglaries.

From Sept. 18-26, detectives received video surveillance footage of a burglary suspect wearing a ski mask. The suspect would disable cameras and force entry into apartment buildings. He could also be seen entering subterranean garages and breaking into parked vehicles.

On Oct. 12, around 2:15 a.m., video surveillance captured the suspect as he attempted to gain entry to an apartment building in the 11600 block of Montana Avenue. The suspect had not yet donned his usual ski-mask and hoody. The suspect then crossed the street and burglarized an apartment building in the same block.

The suspect is described as a black male, 40-50 years old with a greying beard. He stands approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs over 200 pounds. He was seen wearing a dark Nike Pro Balaclava, a dark hoody sweatshirt over a white t-shirt and red New Balance shoes.
