The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority is providing updates about Purple Line Extension construction along Wilshire Boulevard.
Near Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue, utility relocation work is ongoing, while instrumentation work is occurring near Wilshire and Rimpau boulevards. Excavation and dirt hauling is also ongoing near Wilshire Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.

Potholing and jet grouting preparation continues near Wilshire Boulevard and Cloverdale Avenue. Near Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue, work is ongoing in the Metro staging yard at Wilshire Boulevard and Ogden Drive, along with underground work and banner installation. Decking preparation and utility work continues near Wilshire and La Cienega boulevards.
Starting in late October or early November, pile installation will occur on Wilshire Boulevard between Western Avenue and Manhattan Place, and within the staging yard located at Wilshire/Manhattan Place. Full weekend closures of Wilshire Boulevard between Manhattan Place and Western Avenue will be required for the work.
