Register for the ninth annual Homeboy Industries 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 23 starting at 8:30 a.m.

The event celebrates Homeboy Industries and the diversity of Los Angeles. Funds raised are used to help former gang members and previously incarcerated men and women turn their lives around.

Thousands of people are expected to come together for the run/walk throughout historic downtown Los Angeles. The 5K Run/Walk and a Kids 1K Run will start and end in front of Homeboy Industries’ headquarters at 130 W. Bruno St. in Chinatown.

All participants will receive a 2017 Homeboy 5K T-shirt and commemorative souvenir. The event also includes pre-run/walk fitness classes taught by YouTube sensation Tiffany Rothe, and post-event activities with a DJ and vendors.
