A motorcycle officer from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division is recovering after being injured in a collision with a vehicle on Tuesday morning at the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Venice Boulevard.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:05 a.m., said LAPD spokeswoman Irma Mota. The unidentified male officer was pinned under the other vehicle and had to be extricated by firefighters. He was “conscious and breathing” when paramedics took him to a hospital, Mota added. Authorities confirmed on Wednesday that the officer is in stable condition.
