Dapper Day + LACMA returns from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 2.

The event is a celebration of the new exhibition “Chagall: Fantasies for the Stage,” and will include art, fashion, film, music and dancing.

On Saturday only, the Chagall galleries will be open an additional two hours, until 9 .m.

Docent-led tours of Chagall and fashion in art will be offered from noon to 5 p.m. and are free with admission to the specialty exhibition.

From 2-5 p.m., the museum will host a 35mm screening of “The Red Shoes” followed by a conversation about costume design for dance with Stephen Galloway, Bobi Garland and Stacia Lang.

Museum guests are invited from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. to bring a picnic and blanket to gather on the lawn, or grab food and drink at LACMA restaurants or concession stands.

A free Latin Sounds concert will go from 5-7 p.m., featuring an expanded outdoor dance floor.

The dancing will continue from 7-10 p.m. with free music from DJ Professor Watson.

Started in 2011, by L.A. artist Justin Jorgensen, Dapper Day events celebrate refined style from yesterday and today with elegant outings to museums, Disney Parks, and more, in L.A., Orlando and Paris.

Chagall plus general admission is free for museum members, $25 for adults and free for children 17 and younger.

Latin Sounds outdoor performance, DJ, dancing and picnicking are free events and open to the public.
