On Saturday, June 24, Edward Cella Art & Architecture will host performance architect Alex Schweder. Schweder will conduct meetings with selected individuals for private, one-on-one performances of his ongoing performative renovation project entitled, SOAP (Schweder’s Office of Architectural Performances).
SOAP is an experimental architectural office that offers performative renovations of domestic or working spaces, where little or nothing about the space is altered physically. Offering five consultations, Schweder will meet with participants to design performances that, when enacted at home, change the ways that occupants perceive their space.
While initial consultations are free, participants are invited to commission an instructional painted photograph depicting Schweder dressed as his collaborator enacting the first iteration of the performance within the participant’s space.
Interested participants can inquire about remaining available reservations by emailing Sarah Heinemann at sarah@edwardcella.com or calling (323)525-0053.
Edward Cella Art+Architecture is located at 2754 S. La Cienega Blvd.
