On the Park Stage, festival-goers will enjoy the musical stylings of Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo headlining Saturday night, and R&B singer/songwriter Brandy headlining Sunday night.
Canadian actress and model Gigi Gorgeous – star of her YouTube Red documentary “This is Everything: Gigi Gorgeous” about her life as a transgender woman – will host the festivities alongside West Hollywood personality and previous year’s anchor Billy Francesca. Australian television and radio personality and Hollywood correspondent for Scoopla, Dean McCarthy, will return as the official backstage red-carpet host for the weekend, and will livestream select celebrity happenings across the official LA Pride social media channels. The Plaza and Boulevard Stages will also feature a mix of Latin and hip-hop artists from around the world during the three-day event.
The annual Dyke March in West Hollywood will kick off the festivities at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 9, at the Sal Guarriello Veterans’ Memorial, located at 8447 Santa Monica Blvd. It will include a live DJ set with Claudette Sexy DJ, and a protest sign and pin-making workshop led by artist Julianna Parr.
The Trans Party will also return at 7 p.m. on Friday night on the Boulevard Stage at 647 N. San Vicente Blvd. to celebrate the Trans community with live performances, DJs and award presentations.
Both the Trans Party and Dyke March offer complimentary admission with no advance ticket purchase required. Other activities at that location include the drug and alcohol-free experience, #SIZZLE!, in partnership with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, which will feature games and special performances for all ages throughout the weekend.
On Saturday, June 10, approximately 2,500 AIDS/LifeCycle riders will pedal through the city of West Hollywood to celebrate the completion of their 545-mile journey from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for HIV/AIDS. Eastbound Santa Monica Boulevard will be reduced to a single lane of traffic from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. between Doheny Drive and Ogden Drive as the cyclists make their way to the finish line and closing ceremony at Fairfax High School.
The second annual LGBTQ Youth Dance will take place at noon on Saturday. This dance allows LGBTQ youth (under 24 years of age) to have a safe space to celebrate their pride in a substance-free environment.
Erotic City, a popular 18+ experience, will also return to the West Hollywood Park Auditorium with a combination of adult entertainment, exhibitions and adult-oriented goods and services, all celebrating a culture of art and sex where inhibitions are left at the door.
LA Pride 2017 will offer a collection of culinary experiences, including Shake Shack, Kogi BBQ, and STK Los Angeles, among others.
Attendees can learn more about their community by visiting more than 30 non-profit exhibitors featured inside the festival along San Vicente Boulevard. The organizations aim to inform and educate the public on their missions and projects, which support the LGBTQ community.
