The Los Angeles Police Department is holding its annual “Anonymous Gun Buyback” on Saturday, May 13 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Los Angeles Sports Arena and the Facey Medical Group in Mission Hills.

Residents can anonymously turn in firearms in exchange for gift cards. People turning in handguns, shotguns and rifles will receive $100 gift cards and people surrendering assault weapons, as classified by the state of California, will receive $200 gift cards.

The number of available gift cards is limited and subject to availability. Police request that firearms be unloaded and brought to events in vehicle trunks.

The Los Angeles Sports Arena is located at 3939 S. Figueroa St., southwest of downtown Los Angeles. The Facey Medical Group is located at 11165 Sepulveda Blvd., in Mission Hills. For information, visit lapd.online.
