The gallery continues to offer customers and collectors an array of work from emerging artists, as well as old favorites whose work it has carried exclusively for years.
Making their Freehand debuts are Kerianne Quick, whose materials include hand-cut and carved bricks mixed with pearls, shells, gold and silver; Jera Lodge, who uses spray painted, architecturally patterned metal jewelry; and April Hale, who combines the ancient technique of enameling with contemporary landscape-inspired designs made of at least 50 percent reclaimed materials.
Some of the artists returning to Freehand are Karen McCreary, who considers light when creating her jewelry with acrylic, bold colors, and palladium and gold leaf; Kit Carson, whose Western motifs are romantic and wildly original; and Michael Norman Bayes, a gallery and customer favorite, whose work is only available at Freehand.
Freehand Gallery is located at 8413 W. Third St. For information, visit freehand.com.
