Randy Esada, of Randy Esada Designs and Prospr, has created a new line of custom lighting and furniture, and is inviting designers and members of the public to a launch party this evening, March 23 at 6 p.m., at his showroom on Beverly Boulevard.

Esada said the launch coincides with Westweek at the Pacific Design Center, which attracts designers from around the world. The new line by Randy Esada Designs includes chandeliers, lamps, sconces and other lighting fixtures that are hand-crafted by local artisans. His high-end furniture line includes tables, desks, benches, chairs and other items custom-designed or made-to-order for customers.
“The pieces were designed by me and are reminiscent of 18th century continental antiques,” Esada said. “They are not available in any other showroom. They are only available at Prospr.”
Both the furniture and lighting lines are crafted in Los Angeles. Esada said he has always been drawn to fine European antiques and it was natural to create a line of lighting and furniture based on the style.
“There is a quality to them that was never able to be replicated until now,” Esada said. “Los Angeles has become an absolute mecca for furniture making. There is a cluster of carvers and fine furniture designers who have migrated here because this is where people come for what’s new.”
A small bench or tabouret features leaf legs painted gold with an animal print cover. The lighting ranges from ornate, crystal chandeliers to modern nickel plated and glass lamps.
Guests can view more than 50 new pieces by Esada at the launch party, which will include music, food and cocktails. Everyone is welcome.
