Greater Wilshire Neighbor-hood Council board member Julie Stromberg and writer Laura Cohen will host “Climate Change Action Plan: Countdown to Earth Day” on Saturday, March 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. at a private residence in Hancock Park.

The event is a grassroots forum on climate change held in association with “Organizing for Action,” a Barack Obama organization. It will feature state Senator Ben Allen; Lauren Faber-O’Connor, deputy chief sustainability officer for Mayor Eric Garcetti; Daniel Kegel, of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby; and Bill Funderburk, Jr., a commissioner for the Los Angeles Board of Water and Power. The speakers will provide an overview of climate change issues and what actions can be taken with the Trump Administration to continue the movement.
