West Hollywood Mayor Lauren Meister and her fellow council members signed a proclamation in conjunction with National School Choice Week 2017, a nonpartisan, nonpolitical program that raises awareness about school choice options for parents.

“We are excited and grateful that School Choice Week is official in West Hollywood,” said Andrew Campanella, president of National School Choice Week. “Like parents everywhere, West Hollywood parents want their kids to have a great education – and celebrating the diversity of educational options is what School Choice Week is all about.”

Held every January, National School Choice Week highlights education options for every child. Options include traditional public schools, public charter schools, public magnet schools, online learning, private schools and home schooling.
