The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust presents “Paintings by Polish Holocaust Survivor Sofia Guttentag-Davidson” through Jan. 20.
The art collection depicts pre-World War II life in Europe, the atrocities of the Holocaust, Jewish spirituality and hope afterwards. The exhibit is presented and hosted by museum family founder and Board Member Melinda Goldrich.
Guttentag-Davidson’s illustrations include over 100 paintings and etchings. A selection of artwork from her personal collection will be exhibited. Her work was intended to tell a story of how the human spirit can endure even under the most difficult of circumstances.
The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust is located at 100 S. The Grove Dr. For information, go to lamoth.org.
