Café Gratitude Thanksgiving pies to go
Café Gratitude is offering pecan, pumpkin and chocolate coconut pies made with 100 percent organic and plant-based ingredients. Each pie serves four to six people. Thanksgiving ice cream flavors
Salt & Straw’s Tyler Malek has created five ice cream flavors inspired by favorite Thanksgiving dishes. Through the end of November, pick up a pint or two for a family dinner. Lemonade Thanksgiving
Host a stress-free Thanksgiving by serving family-style dishes prepared by Lemonade founder and executive chef Alan Jackson. Lemonade’s new family meal includes slow braised turkey with cranberry and sage and orange gravy. Sides include roasted sweet potato puree with maple and pecans, creamy mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts with caramelized onions and grape glaze, and harissa roasted cauliflower with red onion and Parmesan breadcrumbs. Four marketplace salads are also available, along with traditional mac and cheese and pumpkin cookies. Phone and in-store ordering is available at all locations. Lemonade catering is also available for orders of $100 or more. Holiday pick up and catering delivery is available through Dec. 31. Stouts ‘N Staches brew crawl
Danny’s Venice is celebrating Movember with a fundraising beer crawl benefitting the Venice Family Clinic on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 3 to 8 p.m. The mustache-themed beer crawl highlights some of Venice Beach’s best bars and craft brews. Start at Danny’s Venice restaurant and bar, and enjoy free mustache and beard trims. A hair braiding bar and photo booth is included, as well as a performance by the Bob Dylan tribute band Jack of Hearts at 3 p.m. Beer and whiskey tastings from Highland Park Brewery will be available in the VIP Stache lounge, and guests will receive a gift bag from Dollar Shave Club. Larry’s, Bank of Venice, Barlo Kitchen + Cocktails, Canal Club and James Beach are also participating. The official after party is at 8 p.m. at Townhouse, featuring music by DJ Siva. Celebrate Movember at Public School
All Public School locations are making a specialty “Stache” cocktail in support of The Movember Foundation through Wednesday, Nov. 30. For every “Stache” cocktail purchased, $2 will be donated to the foundation for its programs fighting prostate and testicular cancer, as well as mental health treatment and suicide prevention. Created by PS 310 mixologist Tiana Stuart, the cocktail is made with Jameson Caskmates Irish Whiskey, nutmeg, fresh-squeezed orange juice, house-made tonic, spiced simple syrup and Old Fashioned bitters served in a cinnamon sugar rimmed rocks glass with a mustache straw. Holiday fun Winter Wine Walk
Stroll along holiday-decorated San Fernando Boulevard during the downtown Burbank Winter Wine Walk on Saturday, Nov. 19 beginning at 4 p.m. Enjoy musical performances, a tree-lighting ceremony and snowfall from 6:45 to 8 p.m. at the main stage. Tastes from more than 30 wineries and craft breweries, as well as food samplings from some of the city’s best restaurants are available. Tickets include a tasting cup and wine sampling in shops and restaurants. Participants must be 21 or older with a valid ID for the wine tastings; entry to the tree lighting ceremony is free for all ages. Same Same’s Thai pairing menu
Champagne wishes and Khao Soi dreams are available every Wednesday at Same Same. The Thai food and wine bar offers a specialty pairing menu and curated Thai music playlist. The menu includes coconut curry noodles paired with a glass of French Cremant de Loire Brut from Vat du Loire, France. Same Same’s laab is made with minced chicken, herbs and spices and is paired with German Riesling. Umami burgers are now available on UberEATS nationwide. To celebrate the new partnership, Umami Burger created the UberEATS Burger, available exclusively through the UberEATS app at all Umami Burger restaurants with UberEATS delivery.
