The Fillmore and Western Railway is running its annual Santa Train on Friday, Nov. 25, making stops from Ventura to Fillmore so Santa can wish everyone a merry Christmas and hand out candy canes to children.
The train ride also serves as a toy drive, with unwrapped toys being collected for Rotary Clubs of Fillmore and Santa Paula for distribution to children in the Santa Clara Valley. The Santa Train ride is held in partnership with the Ventura County Deputy Sheriff Association and other supporting agencies.
Scheduled stops are at Montgomery and Bristol in East Ventura from 5:30 to 6 p.m.; Alelia Street/Saticoy Depot from 6:15 to 6:30 p.m.; Santa Paula Depot and Railroad Plaza from 7:15 to 7:40 p.m.; and Sespe Street and Old Telegraph Road in Fillmore from 8:40 to 8:50 p.m.
