Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in an apartment building on the north side of the Hollywood Hills in the Toluca Lake area on Nov. 29.

Officers were called to the building in the 3600 block of Barham Boulevard at approximately 1:40 p.m. after a citizen reported hearing a gunshot. Firefighters and officers found a man in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives have ruled out suicide, said LAPD spokeswoman Liliana Preciado. The victim was not identified pending notification of next of kin.

According to media reports, the victim was found in a parking garage at the complex, but Preciado said she could not confirm the exact location.
