Page Academy is holding a clothing drive for the Tashirat Orphanage in Mexico as part of “Project Wardrobe,” which runs through Oct. 27.
Clothing can be dropped off at boxes located at Page Academy’s Hancock Park campus, 565 N. Larchmont Blvd. Clothing for boys and girls sizes 6-16 is needed, including jeans, pants, T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, sweaters, sneakers, new socks and underwear.
Sports shorts and jerseys are also needed, as many of the children play in a soccer league.
Tashirat opened the orphanage in 2003 for children for whom adoption was not viable. Children and adolescents are provided a stable home where they can flourish with a high-quality vegetarian diet, active lifestyle, Montessori education and spiritual guidance with meditation and yoga.
