Award-winning actress Allison Janney was honored with the 2,592nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Oct. 17. Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Leron Gubler emceed the event along with actor Richard Schiff and television producer Chuck Lorre. The star is located at 6100 Hollywood Blvd.
Janney is currently starring alongside Anna Faris in the Chuck Lorre sitcom, “Mom,” and has recently appeared as Margaret Scully on Showtime’s “Masters of Sex.”
Janney is also well known for her starring role in the NBC series “The West Wing,” for which she won four Emmy Awards and four SAG Awards.
Janney also appeared in three recent feature films: “Tallulah,” “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” and “The Girl on the Train.” Last year, she did voice work in the animated “Minions” and “Spy” with Melissa McCarthy.
