The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) is offering students a $30 “Campus to Concert Hall All Access Pass,” which provides admission to 24 LACO concerts during the orchestra’s 2016-17 season.
Pass-holders will attend performances at different venues, including all eight of LACO’s “Orchestral Series” concerts at Alex Theatre in Glendale and UCLA’s Royce Hall; three “Westside Connections” programs, offering an exploration of masterworks through “Music: The Mirror of Time” at Santa Monica’s Moss Theater; and five “Baroque Conversations” programs, with repertoire from the early Baroque through the pre-classical period, at Zipper Hall in downtown L.A.
The passes include access to performance after-parties; advance reservation privileges; and the option to reserve up to three additional tickets for $12 each for college friends with student I.D.s. LACO aims to build an appreciation for classical music among students with the student passes.
“Our Campus to Concert Hall All Access Pass makes it affordable for students to attend multiple performances for substantially less than the cost of a movie, or even a latte,” said LACO senior director of advancement and strategic engagement Lacey Huszcza.
