Mayor Eric Garcetti and Councilman Mitch O’Farrell, 13th District, joined executives from Fender Musical Instrument Corporation on Sept. 22 for a ribbon cutting at Fender’s new facility in Hollywood.
Fender moved into a space at 1525 N. Gower St. in the Columbia Square complex. The facility houses offices and will serve as a design center for the musical instrument manufacturer.
Garcetti and O’Farrell praised Fender for relocating in Hollywood and bringing more jobs to the area. Ninety-six employees will work in the building, with an additional 50 positions expected to be created by the end of the year. Fender will maintain its manufacturing facility in Corona.
