Three people were arrested or cited at a checkpoint in West Hollywood on Aug. 23. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Traffic Services Detail conducted the checkpoint on Fairfax Avenue south of Santa Monica Boulevard between 6 p.m. and 4 a.m. Approximately 1,710 vehicles drove through the checkpoint.

One suspect was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. One suspect was arrested for driving while under the influence of drugs, and one individual was taken into custody for transportation of marijuana for sale.
