The National Council of Jewish Women, Los Angeles (NCJW/LA) presents a special art exhibit “Rise” running through Wednesday, Sept. 7.
NCJW/LA’s The Talk Project, a peer-to-peer sexual violence prevention program for high school and college-aged students, organized the exhibit, which raises awareness about sexual violence. The exhibit is currently on view through Aug. 27 at SugarMynt Gallery, 810 Meridian Ave. in South Pasadena, and will move to the NCJW/LA council house on Fairfax Avenue from Sunday, Aug. 28 through Sept. 7.
An open house for the exhibit will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 30 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the NCJW/LA council house. The Talk Project’s peer educators will conduct a workshop. Guests can learn about the program and view the art in the exhibit.
The NCJW/LA council house is located at 543 N. Fairfax Ave. RSVP for the open house by calling (323)852-8513 or email Alexa Schwartz at alexa@ncjwla.org.
