The Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival returns from Thursday, Aug. 25 through Sunday, Aug. 28.

Venues from Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood and Beverly Hills to the Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows in Santa Monica and the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Airport will participate in the culinary extravaganza. The festival is celebrating its sixth anniversary and will feature tastings, lunches, seminars, book signings and cooking demonstrations.

Highlights include “Amazon Presents Eat the World with Emeril Lagasse” on Thursday, Aug. 25 from 7 to 10 p.m. Lagasse will host a walk-around tasting of culinary creations, beer, wine and cocktails. The global theme for the evening is inspired by the upcoming Amazon series “Eat the World.”

Additional events include “Lexus at Grand Avenue” running Thursday, Aug. 25 through Saturday, Aug. 27. Visitors can enjoy an ice cream station and create ice cream sandwiches courtesy of Sweet Lucie’s ice cream truck. Brandy Alexanders and adult root beer floats will be poured.

Chefs Jet Tila and Brian Malarkey will host the “Grand Avenue Night Market” on Friday, Aug. 26 from 7 to 10 p.m. The evening will highlight street foods from the markets, carts, street stalls and mom-and-pop restaurants from Taipei to Kuala Lumpur, and will feature creations by chefs Elizabeth Falkner, Jeffrey Lunak (Sumo Dog), Tin Vuong (Little Sister), Andrew Gruel (Slapfish), and Kevin Nashan (Sidney Street Café).

“LIVE on Grand Avenue with Tyler Florence” is on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 7 to 10 p.m. with musical performances, DJ sets and cuisine from chefs Timothy Hollingsworth (Otium), Jason Dady (Jason Dady Restaurant Group) and Stephen Kalt (Spartina).

On Saturday, Aug. 27 and Sunday, Aug. 28 from noon to 3 p.m., gourmands are invited to spend a leisurely afternoon at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar at the “Lexus Grand Tasting.” James Beard Award winners Stephanie Izard and Laura Werlin will share their knowledge of cheese at the Lexus Cheese Shoppe and attendees can sample North American cheeses.
