The band will perform new material from its fourth album, “A Man Alive.” Before the band takes the stage, Tahl K will perform a DJ set starting at 7:00 p.m.

Thao Nguyen is the frontwoman for Thao and the Get Down Stay Down. Since the release of its first album in 2008, the band has experimented with musical styles, from folk and bluegrass to rock and chamber pop.

Their recently released fourth album, “A Man Alive” adds the influences of hip-hop, electronic music and funk.

No reservations are required for the free concert, but there is limited seating on a first-come, first-served basis. The Skirball Cultural Center is located at 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd. For information, visit www.skirball.org.
