The benefit raises funds for HIV/AIDS services provided by Life Group LA and illustrates the fact that the AIDS pandemic is not over. The goal is to raise $100,000. After the ride, participants enjoy food and festivities at the “Country BBQ,” which is $55 per person.
Founded in 2005, the Life Group LA provides education, empowerment and emotional support for people with HIV/AIDS so they can make informed choices regarding their healthcare and personal wellbeing. The organization holds peer support groups and the POZ Life Weekend Seminar, which offers educational and empowering experiences in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment.
The event will be held at 1001 West Riverside Dr. The ride runs from 5-7:30 p.m.; followed by the barbecue, a dance and silent auction from 8-11:30 p.m. Registration is $125 for riders who need a horse, $75 for riders with their own horse.
