A Noise Within (ANW), a classical repertory theater in Pasadena, presents a festival of staged readings of American plays running from Friday, July 22 through Sunday, July 24. The plays mark the beginning of the theater company’s 25th anniversary season celebrations.
The festival begins with Arthur Miller’s “Broken Glass” on Friday, July 22 at 7 p.m., followed by a post-show reception and meal. On Saturday, July 23 at 2 p.m., “Angels in America, Part One: Millennium Approaches” will be read, followed by a dinner break. At 7 p.m., attendees can choose between the “Durang One Acts” or “27 Wagons.” “A Raisin in the Sun” will be read on July 24 beginning at 3 p.m., followed by dinner. At 7 p.m., audiences can enjoy either the “Durang One Acts” or “27 Wagons.”
The six plays are presented as an extension of “Words Within,” A Noise Within’s ongoing annual series of free play readings by resident artists. The readings are free but reservations are required. Receptions and meals are $25 each.
