Firefighters extinguished blaze that erupted in the early morning hours of June 27 at a building on Pico Boulevard near the Beverly Hills border. Firefighters received a call at approximately 2:27 a.m. about a fire in the 9300 block of Pico Boulevard in a commercial building. Firefighters extinguished the blaze in approximately 40 minutes. The loss was estimated at $100,000. Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said the LAFD’s Arson Unit is investigating the blaze, which is standard procedure, but arson is not suspected.
