Cornerstone Theater Company exhibit celebrates milestone
The Cornerstone Theater Company (CTC) is launching its milestone 30th anniversary celebration with “30 Years 30 Things,” an exhibit of Cornerstone’s theatrical journey with communities throughout the United States. The exhibit will be on display at CTC through Saturday, July 2. A special celebration will be held on July 2 from noon to 6 p.m.
“Cornerstone Theater Company has been creating high impact work for three decades … that’s a significant milestone,” said Megan Wanlass, CTC’s managing director. “We are excited to take the opportunity to celebrate the organization’s contributions in the field and to communities throughout Los Angeles and beyond while preparing for the future. We are interested in pushing against notions of what community-engaged theater is and can be.”
The “30 Years 30 Things” exhibit includes a gallery of CTC artifacts that are part of the organization’s history and the communities with which it has worked. The free celebration on July 2 includes food, drinks and entertainment.
CTC is located at 708 Traction Ave., downtown. For information and viewing appointments, call (213)613-1700 ext. 119, email email@example.com, or visit www.cornerstonetheater.org.
