Big Sunday has announced that it May is “A Month of Big Sundays!”

The organization was launched in 1999 as a single day of service. Over the years, it has become an independent nonprofit offering more than 2,000 ways for people to help throughout the year.

The biggest event, Big Sunday Weekend in May – a three-day festival – has grown too big for one weekend, so it’s expanding to “A Month of Big Sundays!” Broader community service projects each day in May will reach more people, make new alliances and accommodate more organizations and schools.

From school and community beautifications and group adventures to book fairs, habitat restorations and beach clean ups, service projects are available for everyone, including individuals, families, groups and clubs.
