The Traditional Equitation School (TES) is celebrating 30 years of fun at its summer Kids Horse Camp. Located at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Griffith Park, young campers ages 6-12 enjoy daily lessons from professional instructors on horses selected for beginners. In addition to riding, campers learn about horses and their care. With the addition of fun and games, TES horse camp offers an experience every young horse lover will enjoy.
Campers are supervised by a trained staff and counselors, and learn horsemanship and life skills by relating to animals. The camp is for all levels of riders, from a child’s first experience with a horse to an experienced junior rider who shows hunt seat, dressage or western.
Weekly sessions are available from June 6-Aug. 19. The camp runs Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Extended care is available from 8 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 5 p.m. For young equestrians who want to do more riding, the camp also offers the option to add an extra lesson at the end of the day until 5:30 p.m. Sessions fill quickly, and campers are encouraged to sign up early.
TES is located at 480 W. Riverside Drive, Burbank. For information, call (818)569-3666, or visit www.traditionaleq.com.
