An auto theft suspect was arrested on April 25 after a brief police pursuit in Hollywood.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division saw a male suspect sitting in Ford Mustang in the 800 block of McCadden Place shortly after 9 a.m. and identified the vehicle as having been reported stolen. They attempted to contact the driver, who sped away, said LAPD spokeswoman Jenny Houser.
Officers pursued the stolen vehicle on Fountain Avenue, Fairfax Avenue, Santa Monica Boulevard and Highland Avenue. The unidentified suspect crashed near Highland and Waring Avenues and attempted to flee. He was arrested a short time later and was booked for auto theft, Houser added.
“They set up a perimeter and took him into custody,” she said. “No one was hurt.”
